I CAN SPEAK...

English, Yoruba, a little french, a little Hausa, and I'm learning German. Yup, I know what you're thinking, I'm a talented polyglot, yes, you got it right (haha) but then who cares about language these days? 21st February is International Mother Language Day and the aim of this United Nations Observance is to promote the learning and documentation of endangered languages, so as to preserve culture and history for posterity.

TWO OF A KIND

Take a look at this picture closely, what do you see? Well, yeah that's me at the right looking all funky fresh and pretty after my one week leave (hehe). And to the left that's a man, obviously, but he's not just a man.

He's special and standing next to him even makes me feel more than special. He is professor William Maxwell--a professor of thinking at the University of Advancing Technology(Formerly CAD Institute) Tempe, Arizona.

He is President & CEO of Inventive quotient and has researched and lectured on child development and increasing human intelligence in over fifty nations on all continents. That's not even the biggest thing. Wait for it....

He's one of the only two professors of thinking on planet earth. Yeah, now define special (lol). I think it was really 'thoughtful' of me to take this snapshot with him :)

YAY! I GOT NOMINATED

People say the reward for hard work is more work, but I think they often forget that besides the 'more work' one also needs some sort of encouragement of encouragement from time to time to fan the flame of passion to work.

CANCER: The Strange Disease

World Cancer day was on Tuesday and it's an international observance marked around the world. On the midday dialogue we had the chairman of the Nigerian Medical association as our guest for an hour, and he helped to clear up a lot of things about cancer as well as educating them on prevention techniques. But something came to mind while we were having the show, people really have wrong views about cancer, and you know that is really adding to the stigma and fear many people have about it.
