IS IT YOUR BUSINESS?

I really envy them you know? And Forbes magazine doesn't help matters either, they keep telling us of their billion dollar homes, brand new yacht, and charity organizations. Sometimes you even wish you were their child or relative(hahaha) hey, don't get me wrong, I love my parents  But the aura that follows business success and all these big billionaires is really cool, and it's something everyone wants to be part of.

The first Saturday of July is set aside to mark the International day of cooperatives, and the aim is to increase awareness on cooperatives, as well as strengthen and extend partnerships around the world.
This gets me thinking you know? You know in recent times Africa had turned into a center of attraction for investors. The Euro zone crisis, the crashing stock markets in America and Asia, etc. . .have all made innocent Africa the new hunting ground for entrepreneurs. But who is complaining?
As far as they create jobs and alleviate poverty, we'd gladly shake hands to make deals with them. The part I don't like is where they now begin to look as us as animals; vulnerable people they can deceive and exploit. Take our minerals and make us slaves, while the income from the business goes into developing their land. Ahhhh! That's where me I wouldn't take it oh!!

I've got nothing against cooperatives but if the terms and conditions of the deals made are not kept by anyone of the parties involved, then it gets ugly. Here in Nigeria we can even learn to do inter-state cooperatives, start inter-ethnic businesses(just like inter-ethnic marriages), or something like that. I think it also helps to bring unity and fosters understanding.
Maybe the keyword here should even be entrepreneurship not business. Entrepreneurship is all about finding solutions to problems, when you have more entrepreneurs than money-thirsty business people(that can even cheat to make profit), then you'd have a country with lesser problems and a better economy. Be a problem solver today!
